If you desire to end the frustration in your life, to stop being that hamster on the wheel and going no where, then you are in the right place.
The mission of Level 10 Living is to help people like you live the life of their dreams through their business and passions. It’s about empowering you to create the life of your dreams.
I strongly believe that in order to be truly successful in business, in life, you need to have the right mindset.
You see, we have grown up being taught things that won’t lead us to success, in fact quite the opposite. Our minds have been bombarded with learnings that teach us to fit in, conform, not to appear successful, not to appear too stupid either, just be well and truly average. In fact we are often taught that being successful is bad! How often do you hear that rich people are mean, greedy, etc? Parents and teachers often inadvertently teach us not to be successful. People even recite the line “money is the root of all evil”, teaching people to not have money! WHAT? This is crazy. Also just for the record, the line is incorrect, it actually reads “the love of money is the root of evil”, not having it, but loving it. Its not a bad thing to have money. We are taught to go get a job that we have no passion for, to get “security” from a monthly paycheque. Yet all those things cause as us to be totally average, living a mediocre life, that we are not happy with. So why does it continue!?
Enough of being average! It’s time to shine! Its time to take your life to the next level!
With the wrong mindset people can take courses in business all they want, but they wont implement or they will sabotage their own success when they get close. I see this all the time. Peoples minds literally stop them from being successful. You have to open you mind to success.
That is what I aim to do here with Level 10 Living. To provide you with the tools you need to take yourself to the next level. To help guide you to creating an abundance mindset, a success mindset, and then implementing strategies to help you create your level 10 life.

Another strong belief of mine is that…..
Being truly successfully in your business, and I mean fulfilling your full potential and taking your business to the true heights in can go to, is limited by one thing, and one thing only……
The business owner is the limit on the business, it’s the thing that stops it from growing.
No one else, no one thing, can stop your business going to where you want to take it. Yes there can be bumps in the road, yes things can get in the way, but it is up to you whether you get over those things and move forward or get stuck and sit and mope around, wondering why all the bad things always happen to you.
As I said earlier, to be successful in business I truly believe you have to work on your mindset, but not just this. In fact you should be continuously working on all other areas of your life too.
You have to make sure that you are at the top of your game, or at least striving to be, in all areas of your life.
And really, to live a true level 10 life, a truly fulfilling life, you can’t just focus on one area. You need to be excelling in all the areas I will discus below.
As a business owner, I know, we get so caught up in focusing on what our business revenue and profits are, often to the point that our whole worlds get caught up focusing on the business. Often this is detrimental to the business itself!
And/or its detrimental to you, and what happens is we often shut other things or people out of lives when we do this. And while I believe you have to have a focus and a drive to be successful at anything, when it results in a loss or a major sacrifice in other areas of our lives it takes away of that feeling of success.
There is no point getting to the top, only to have no one to celebrate with.
Or on the flip side, which I can honestly say we see more of, is that people get so focused on their business and it fails, or they struggle all the time, struggling to pay the bills, make rent, and this causes a huge amount of stress and negativity. Then they have no one to help them through these times.
In fact making sure you work on other areas of your life actually helps the business become more successful anyway.
So what other areas are there and what should you be focusing on? By the way these are not in any particular order. Each is of vital importance and should be worked on.
Ok so I know I have just been ranting on about how other areas are key to focus on, but you obviously have to focus on your business. Looking at ways to grow your business.
Remember, you are an entrepreneur.
What normally happens is we think that by being an entrepreneur we have to do everything in the business to save it from impending doom. That mean you are meeting clients, doing the admin, cleaning the toilets, running invoices, setting quotes, doing the actual work, dealing with complaints, and the list goes on and on and on.
When actually being an entrepreneur is a lesson in letting go!
You should looking at how you can grow your business by allowing others to come and join you on the journey and letting them take responsibility and grow with you.
When you spend time focusing on your health and getting fit, the benefits to you and your business are amazing.
You will have more energy, focus, and creativity. You will be more productive, more creative, better able to deal with stress, and be a better leader. These are just but a few things that come with exercise and good nutrition.
Do you think those things would help you run your business better? YOU BET!
But unfortunately it’s one of the aspects of life that we as business owners tend to forget about. We think, I don’t have time to go to the gym, I have got a million other things to do. But actually making time for your health is vital, it will help you grow your business.
So much of today’s stress is caused by not having enough money to pay the bills. People live above their means, living off credit cards. They are spending more than what they have coming in.
Making sure you on top of your personal finances relieves a lot of stress and allows your mind to focus on other things – like how you can grow your business.
There is a great quote that says, “Your level of success is dependant upon your level of personal development”
As I said earlier, what’s the one limiting thing on any business?
That’s right, YOU, the owner!
If you don’t know how to take your business to the next level, go and invest in yourself and find out.
If you don’t know how to be a great leader, or improve your relationships, or be healthier, then invest time in learning and go and find out. This is in fact what our whole business and community is about, so you are in the right place.
Dedicate a set amount of time, perhaps an hour a day to learning, reading, developing your skills so you can be better. Don’t tell me that you don’t hvae the time, that excuse won’t cut it here I am afraid. You need to make the time.
If you commute in the car or on the train, get some audiobooks to listen to. Turn off the radio, or stop just mindlessly flicking through facebook.
If you have stopped learning, then I am afraid you will not progress any further in life.
If you are continually learning then you will always be able to move forward.
This ties in closely with personal development, but I like to keep it separate. Someone can invest in their learnings of business yet still have a struggling business. Why is that?
Remember, the owner is the limiting factor.
Look at health, there are millions of people out there who are obese. Everyone knows to lose weight they should eat less and/or healthier things, and move more. The knowledge is not the problem! Their mindset is the issue.
Same with business, I see so many people very knowledgeable in marketing, sales, finances, and yet they can’t even begin to get their business moving.
Why? Their mindset! They don’t believe its really possible, or I should say, they don’t believe it’s possible for them. So their mind says, ok we won’t be successful.
Some people have been brought up thinking that being wealthy is a bad thing. Their parents always used to complain about the rich people, or say that money was the root of evil.
Just a quick side note here, no where does it say that money is the root of all evil. This comes from the bible, where it actually says, the LOVE of money is the root of evil. Having money is not a bad thing, but loving money is the issue.
Anyway, if you truly believe that having money is a bad thing, then guess what, you will never have it!
Your mind is a powerful thing. You can either become a magnetic force for abundance or you can push it away. It is actually your choice!
This covers several areas:
Romantic relationships, those with your partner, husband, wife.
Family relationships – children, parents, grandparents etc.
Social relationships – friends
Who you keep in your circles are key to your success.
Jim Rohn once said, “You are an average of the 5 people you spend the most time with”
If you closest 5 friends are broke, unhealthy, and miserable. Then guess what, chances are you will be to. When you are around them, you will be moaning about how life is unfair, that the world is against you. You will gossip about people. You will be eating crap foods. Ultimately it’s a downward spiral.
On the flip side, if you hang with 5 people who are wealthy, fit, happier. Then you will raise your game to their levels. When you go out with these people, you will be discussing ideas, talking about how you can move forward and grow. Its an upward spiral.
I know which group I want to be in.
Again this covers a few areas, and generally overlaps with a few others but I wanted to put a few things down here….
How are you spending your “down” time? Do you crash in front of the sofa for 3 hours (or more) each night. Or do you go and seek to develop relationships? Perhaps actually spending time with your wife/husband and kids?
How do you dress? This is always a bit of hot topic. Do you dress like the person you want to be? This is not necessarily the most important things, and people will point out the likes of Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerburg, who wore/wear the same things everyday. One positive for wearing the same thing each day, is it’s one less choice for the mind to make – it reduces stress levels and improves your decision making powers in other areas of life.
Dressing up is less about impressing people, it’s actually good for your mindset. When you dress smart you feel better. When you are in tracksuit bottoms and a ripped t-shirt do you feel like working – no! When you put on a shirt and trousers, maybe that nice jacket, you start to feel better, more confident.
Your physical environment is key to your wellbeing, and to living your dream lifestyle.
Your physical environment includes your home, your office, anywhere you spend your time.
Zig Ziglar used to say “Rich people have small TVs and big libraries and poor people have small libraries and big TVs”.
What I always took from this was that successful people are committed to learning, committed to personal development. While the unsuccessful people were committed to finding out who killed who on last night’s episode of Eastenders.
Take a walk around your home, and office. What does it say about you?
Does it scream, organised, creative, always learning, successful. Or does it shout lazy, focused on gossip & news, and unsuccessful.
How is your workspace laid out? Do you have your goals pinned on the wall where you read them everyday? Do you have a library, or book shelf even?
This is one of my favourites. How are you giving back and contributing to others?
If you have taken action already and decided on your wealth plan to include 10% giving back to charity then you are already on the journey.
If you decided not to commit any portion of your salary, that’s fine, but I encourage you to do events, or races, or something to raise money for a charity. It is the best feeling in the world being able to give something to someone who truly needs it.
And I truly believe that it comes back round. You will benefit in some way through giving.
This has been a brief overview of the areas of our lives that we need to work on in order to be truly successful.
Throughout this site there are posts that focus on each area, not just giving you information, but actionable plans to implement and start improving every area, right now!
